고로쇠나무[단풍나무과 단풍나무속]

봄철에 수액을 받아서 마시는 고로쇠나무는 단풍나무과 나무답게 잎이 단풍나무 잎과 아주 흡사하다.

고로쇠나무를 비롯한 단풍나무과의 나무는 수분을 많이 머금고 있어 수액을 받을 수 있는데 요즘은 단풍나무의 수액이

더욱 비싼 값을 받는다고 한다.

고로쇠나무란 이름은 이나무에서 나오는 물이 뼈에 좋다는 의미로 골리수(骨利水, 骨利樹)라 하다가 고로쇠나무가

되었다 한다. 수액은 경첩 전후에 채취하며 약간 달콤한 맛이 난다.
