단풍나무

단풍나무과의 잎지는 넓은잎 중간키나무

 

단풍(丹楓}은 한자로 붉을단(丹)에 단풍풍(楓)으로 쓰는데

풍(楓)자의 자획을 풀어보면 나무목(木)에 바람풍(風)으로 잠자리의 날개(또는 바람개비)처럼 생긴

단풍나무 열매가 바람에 멀리 날아가는 모습을 형상화한 글자이다..

단풍나무는 종간 교배가 쉽게 일어나기 때문에 종류가 수도 없이 많지만 보통 단풍니라고 할 때는

단풍나무와 당단풍나무를 일컫는다

잎이 5~7갈래로 갈라지면 단풍나무, 9~11갈래로 갈라지면 당단풍나무이다.
