좀조팝나무[장미과 조팝나무속]

조팝나무는 익어서 벌어진 열매의 모양이 좁쌀로 지은 조밥처럼 생겼다고 붙여진 이름이다

좀조팝나무는 키가 1m 이내로 작고, 나무의 껍질은 갈색이며 줄기에 작은 능선이 있다.

잎은 타원형이고 가장자리에 불규칙한 거친 톱니가 있으며 뒷면은 회백색이다.

꽃은 5~7월에 연홍색으로 핀다.
