말냉이[십자화과 말냉이속]

유럽이 원산인 귀화 식물이지만 토착화된 두해살이풀로 전국의 길가나 밭둑 등에 자란다.

식물 이름에 '말'이라는 접두어가 붙으면 '크다', '거칠다'라는 의미인데 말냉이도 냉이보다 크고 가지가 많이 갈라진다.

꽃은 4~5월에 흰색으로 피고, 어린순은 식용한다.
