멍덕딸기 [장미과 산딸기속]

멍덕딸기는 멍석딸기와는 이름이 비슷하고, 곰딸기와는 생김새가 비슷하다.

산에서 자라는 떨기나무이며 줄기에 붉은 가시가 빽빽하게 나있다. 꽃은 5~6월에 흰색으로 피며 밑을 향해서 핀다.

비슷한 꼼딸기는 붉은색이 도는 흰색으로 피며 위를 향해서 핀다.

열매는 8~9월에 붉은색으로 익으며 맛이 좋다.
