개여뀌[마디풀과 여뀌속]

밭둑, 논둑, 길가 드에 흔히 자라는 여뀌로 키가 20~50cm로 작으며 줄기 밑부분이 비스듬히 옆으로 퍼져서

방석처럼 모여 자라고. 줄기가 땅에 닿으면 마디에서 뿌리가 내린다.

잎은 긴 타원형으로 어긋나며 턱잎은 막질이며 긴 털이 있다.

꽃은 봄 부터 초가을까지 적자색으로 피는데 이삭꽃차레에 자잘한 꽃이 많이 달리고 포에 긴 털이 있다.
