고마리[마디풀과 여뀌속]

들이나 물가에 무리 지어 자라는 1년생 풀.

온통 주위를 다 덮어버리기 때문에 제거하기 어려운 잡초인데 예초기로 싹둑싹둑 잘라내도

다음 해에 어김없이 무더기로 필 수 있는 것은 땅속뿌리에 폐쇄화가 열매를 맺기 때문이다

제발 고만 좀 나라고 고마리라고 이름지었 다는 믿거나 말거나 한 이름의 유래가 있다
