과남풀[용담과 용담속]

웅담보다 더 쓰다고 용담이라고 하는 용담풀속 식물 중에 과남풀은 잎이 좁은 선형으로

칼잎용담과 과남풀로 구분하였었는데 지금은 과남풀로 통합되었다.

비교적 높은 산의 양지쪽에서 자라며 3맥이 뚜렷한 선형의 잎이 마주나며 꽃은 9~10월에

파란색으로 피는데 줄기 끝의 총상화서에 모여서 핀다. 한 낮에만 꽃잎을 열고 닫기 때문에

꽃이 활짝 핀 모습을 보기가 쉽지 않다.
