흰그늘용담 [용담과 용담속]

고산지대의 습한 곳에서 주로 자라는 두해살이풀로 높이는 5cm 정도이다. 6cm 정도 깊이로 곧추 들어가는 곧은

뿌리가 있다. 줄기는 밑에서 갈라져 모여 난다.  꽃은 5~7월에 피는데 줄기 끝에 1개씩 달리고 흰색이다. 꽃받침은

5개로 갈라지고 열편은 피침형이다. 제주도 한라산에 자생하는 우리나라 고유종이다.
