꼬리진달래[진달래과 진달래속]

반 상록성의 작은 키 나무로 키는 1~2m 정도 자란다

중부지방의 암석 지대에 분포하며, 꽃은 6~7월에 가지 끝의

총상꽃차레에 20개 정도 달리고 꽃부리는 깔때기 모양이다

참꽃나무겨우살이라고도 부른다
