단양쑥부쟁이[국화과 참취속]

멸종위기 야생식물 2급으로 지정된 식물로 강변의 모래 땅이나 자갈밭에 자라는 두해살이풀이다

'솔잎국화'라는 이명이 있을 정도로 잎이 가는 선형이라서 다른 쑥부쟁이류와 구분이 된다

키는 30~50cm 정도이고 뿌리 잎은 꽃이 필 때 말라버리고,

줄기잎은 잎자루가 없는 선형으로 끝이 뾰족하다. 꽃은 8~9월에 자주색으로 핀다.

충주호 부근에서 처음 발견되어 단양쑥부쟁이로 부르며 북한강을 따라 경기도 여주까지 자란다

총포는 반구형이고 포편은 2줄로 배열되고 끝이 뾰족하다.

어린싹은 요런 모습으로 겨울을 나고 이듬해 꽃이 핀다.
