왕갯쑥부쟁이[국화과 참취속]

왕이란 접두어가 붙었듯이 식물체 전체가 나무 모양을 하고 있다.

한해살이풀인 다른 쑥부쟁이 류와는 다르게 줄기가 목질화 되어

나무처럼 자라는 여러해살이풀이다.

줄기는 굵으며 옆으로 벋고 묵은 줄기에서 새순이 나오고 새순에서 꽃대가 나와

5~6월에 흰색이 도는 보라색 꽃이 핀다

잎은 주걱형으로 두껍고 가장자리에 털이 있으며 다닥다닥 많이 달린다.

꽃이 크고, 통상화의 관모가 길다고 하는데 관모는 관찰하지 못했다. 남쪽 섬에서 담다
