누워서 자라는 쑥부쟁이라는 뜻의 눈개쑥부쟁이 이다

한라산의 모진 바람을 견뎌내기 위하여 키를 낮추고 바닥에 납작 엎드려 자라는 녀석이다

뿌리에서 가지가 많이 갈라지고 줄기에 한 개씩의 꽃만 달린다
