남부지방(제주도 포함)의 1000m 이상 높은산 정상부의 바위지대에서 자라는 흔하지 않은 싸리나무이다
긴 꽃자루에 검붉은 색의 꽃이 총상으로 핀다
다른 종류의 싸리나무 보다 꽃이 작으며 악판이 용골판보다 길고 꽃받침은 둥글다
꽃은 6~8월에 피며 향기가 좋다
꽃자루가 길고 검붉은 색의 꽃이 총상으로 달린다
넢은산 정상부의 바위지대에 자란다
어린 잎은 붉은색을 띠며 소엽이 3장으로 타원형이며 털이 없다
어린 가지는 검은색이다
