싸리[콩아과 싸리속]

싸리는 사리'에서 온 이름이다. 사리'는 살림이나 생활의 옛말이라고 한다.

싸리다리, 싸리문, 싸리비, 전쟁터에서 임시로 세우는 싸리방책까지 얫사람들에게

싸리는 오늘날의 플라스틱마냥 요긴했다.

이렇게 사리(살림)에 꼭 있어야 하는 나무라고 하여 사리나무' 라고 하다가 싸리나무' 싸리로 변한 것이다
