진달래[진달래과]

나 보기가 역겨워 가실 때에는

말없이 고이 보내 드리우리다. 영변에 약산 진달래꽃~~ 

진달래의 중세어형은 진달외나 진들위라고 하며 진(眞)+들위(들꽃)를 원형으로 보고 있다.

같은 진달래도 흙의 산도와 유전 형질에 따라 색깔이 조금씩 달라진다.  꽃잎 색이 연한 연달래, 표준색깔의

진달래, 아주 진한 난달래로 나눠 부르기도 한다

진달래꽃은 식품이나 약으로 이용하기 때문에 일부 지방에서는 '참꽃'이라 하여 독이 있어 먹지 못하는 철쭉꽃은

'개꽃'이라고 한다.
