갯쑥부쟁이[국화과 참취속]

해안가의 건조한 풀밭에서 자라는 두해살이풀이다. 줄기는 곧추서며 가지가 갈라지고 높이 30 ~ 100cm이다.

뿌리잎은 도피침형이며 로젯형태로 겨울을 나고 꽃이 필 때 시든다.

줄기잎은 촘촘하게 어긋나고 선형이며 잎 끝이 둔하다.

꽃은 8~11월에 자주색 또는 흰색으로 피는데 줄기 끝에서 머리 모양 꽃이 1개씩 달린다

꽃받침잎은 피침형이며 3줄로 배열되고 관모는 붉은색이다.
