순채[수련과]

연못에서 자라는 여러해살이풀로서 뿌리줄기가 옆으로 가지를 치면서 자라고 잎은 타원형으로 윤기가 

있으며 물위에 뜬다.

꽃은 앞겨드랑이에서 나오는 긴 화병 끝에 1개씩 달리고 검은 홍자색으로 5~8월에 핀다
