붓꽃[붓꽃과]

공원 한편에 붓꽃이 곱다. 산과 들의 건조한 곳에서 자라는 여러해살이 풀로서 꽃봉오리가 먹물을 머금은

붓과 같다 하여 붙여진 이름이다. 꽃창포와 모양이 비슷하여 꽃창포로 오인하는 경우가 있는데 붓꽃은 6장의

꽃잎과 고운 무늬가 있어서 쉽게 구별이 되며 창포류와는 전혀 다른 식물이다.

흔히 붓꽃류를 아이리스라고 부르는데 아이리스는 세계가 함께 부르는 붓꽃류의 속명이다.

붓꽃의 꽃말은 '기쁜 소식'이니 봄날에 붓꽃을 보며 좋은 소식을 기다려 보면 어떨까.

붓꽃의 종류는 각시붓꽃, 솔붓꽃, 난쟁이붓꽃, 노랑붓꽃, 노랑무늬붓꽃, 부채붓꽃 등등 아주 많다.

 

단오에 머리를 감는 창포와 물가에 자라는 꽃창포이다.
