붓꽃과의 여러해살이풀
산지의 비교적 낮은 곳에서 자라는데 토심이 깊은 곳을 좋아하지만 습기만 유지되는 곳이면
어디서나 잘 자란다
4~5월에 자주색 꽃이 피는데 드물게 흰색꽃도 있다
비슷한 종으로 넓은잎각시붓꽃이 있는데 잎의 넓이가 넓다는 것 외에는 특별한 차이점이 없는 것 같다
꽃말은 부끄러움인데 다소곳이 피는 각시붓꽃과 잘 어울리는 것 같다
