기생여뀌[마디풀과]

습기가 많은 냇가나 논 주위에서 잘 자라는 한해살이풀로서 키가 40~120cm이고

갈색의 긴 털과 대가 있는 선모가 있다.

잎은 난상 피침형으로 양면에 선점이 있으며 잎집 같은 턱잎은 털로 싸여있다.

줄기는 굵으며 긴 털이 빽빽하게 나며 끈적이는 부분이 있다.

꽃은 6~9월에 홍자색으로 피며 수상화서는 가지 끝과 잎 겨드랑이에서 나오고 적색의 잔꽃이 밀착하여

아름다우며 향기가 있어 기생여뀌라고 한다
