모기방동사니[사초과 방동사니속]

땅 속 줄기가 옆으로 뻗으며 마디에서 하나의 줄기가 나와 군집을 이루며 자란다

줄기는 아랫부분이 붉은색을 띠고 잎은 잎몸이 거의 없고 잎집 모양으로 된다

꽃차레에는 한두개의 포가 달리는데 잎과 같은 모양이다.

이삭은 선형이며 10~20개의 인편이 두 줄로 달린다
