괭이밥과 여러해 살이풀
산속에 자라는 괭이밥으로 잎이 피기 전에 꽃이 먼저 피고 괭이밥 종류 중에 꽃이 제일 커서 큰괭이밥이다
잎은 꽃이 지기 전에 나오는데 긴 잎자루에 3각형의 3개의 소엽이 달린며
꽃은 4~5월에 붉은 줄무늬가 있는 흰색이고 꽃잎은 5장이다
다른 괭이밥류와 같이 신맛이 강하며 먹을 수 있다
