종가시나무[참나무과 참나무속]

가시나무류는 참나무류와 비슷하여 흔히 참나무로 착각하는 경우가 많다

잎이 지는 참나무류와 다르게 가시나무류는 늘푸른나무이며 가장자리에

날카로운 톱니가 있어서 구분된다

종가시나무는 잎이 윗부분이 넓은 타원형이고 바닷가 주변의 산에서 자란다
