범의귀과의 여러 해 살이풀
산골짝의 물가 습한 바위겉에서 자라며 긴털이 조금있고 꽃은 3~4월에 연한 황록색으로 핀다.
유사한 종으로 괭이밥이 있는데 꽃줄기에 나는 잎이 괭이밥은 마주나기이며 애기괭이밥은 어긋나기이다.
괭이밥은 국내에 없는 종으로 알려젔었는데 최근에 전남 영광에서 자생하는 것이 발견되었다고 한다.
