서양민들레[국화과 민들레속]

꽃받침이 뒤로 젖혀지는 서양민들레는 서양민들에와 붉은씨서양민들레의 2종이 있다.

서양민들에는 꽃받침 잎이 3줄로 배열되고, 붉은씨서양민들레는 2줄로 배열된다.

또한 잎의 결각이 붉은씨서양민들레는 날카롭고, 서양민들레는 부드러우며 씨앗의 색이 갈색인 점이 다르다.

토종 민들레는 1년에 꽃이 한 번 피는데, 서양민들레 종류는 2번 꽃이 핀다
