대왕참나무[참나무과 참나무속]

아파트나, 고속도로 휴게소에 많이 식재되어 있으며 미국이 원산이다.

외재 차를 수입하듯 미국에서 수입한 나무이다.

잎은 3~7개의 깊게 파인 결각이 있고 노랗게 물드는 토종 참나무와 다르게 붉은색으로 단풍이 든다

열매는 다음해 9월에 익으며 세로로 검은색과 갈색의 줄무늬가 있으며 납작한 구형이다.
