미나리아재비과의 여러해살이풀

꽃이름 앞에 섬이라는 접두어가 붙으면 울릉도에서 자라는 꽃이다

섬노루귀는 울릉도의 숲속에 자라며 4월에 백색 또는 연한 분홍색이 피는데 잎자루가 나오기 전에 꽃자루가 나와 끝에

1개씩 달린다. 꽃잎은 없으며 꽃받침이 꽃잎 같고 꽃자루에 긴털이 밀생한다

잎은 긴 잎자루에 심장형으로 달리는데 그 다음 해 꽃이 피고 새잎이 나온 후에 시든다
