택사목 자라풀과
물속에서 자라는 1년생 풀
원줄기가 없고 잎이 뿌리에서 모여 난다. 잎은 잎자루가 길며 얇으며 넓은 난형 또는 도피침형이고 가장자리에
주름과 더불어 둔한 톱니가 있다.
꽃은 양성으로 흰바탕에 연한 홍자색이 돌고 9월에 피며 꽃받침 잎과 꽃잎은 각각 3개씩이다
