소영도리나무[병꽃나무과 병꽃나무속]

정원수로 많이 심은 붉은병꽃나무와 비슷한 꽃나무로 소영도리나무가 있다.

비교적 높은 산자락에 자라고 붉은병꽃나무 보다 키가 더 크다.

꽃은 잎겨드랑이와 줄기 끝에 1~4개의 꽃대가 달린다 (붉은병꽃나무는 1개씩 달린다.)

또한 소영도리나무는 꽃받침 조각의 길이가 일정하지 않고 불규칙하며 꽃받침에 털이 있다
