지치과의 여러해살이풀
햇빛이 잘 드는 풀밭이나 산자락에 자라며 꽃은 4~5월에 벽자색, 남색으로 핀다
꽃이 진 후에 옆으로 벋는 가지가 자라서 뿌리가 내리고 다음해에 싹이 돋는다
큰 군락을 이루고 자라는 반디지치는 만나기 어려운데 이 곳에는 매 년 크게 군락을 이루며 꽃을 피운다
