변산향유[꿀풀과 향유속]

변산반도의 격포 채석강과 적벽강 바위 절벽의 바위 틈에서 자라는 변산향유는 향유속의 다른 식물에 비해 키가

20~30cm 정도로 작고 잎이 가죽질로 두껍고 윤기가 있다.

꽃은 10~11월에 자주색으로 피는데 이삭꽃차레에 한쪽으로 치우쳐 달린다. 한국 특산식물이다
