매미꽃[양귀비과 매미꽃속]

주로 남부지방(전남, 전북, 경남)에 분포하는 우리나라 특산종이다

산지 숲 속의 계곡 주변 특히 돌이 많은 곳에 잘 자란다

잎은 뿌리에서 모여 나며 작은 잎 3~7장으로 된 깃꼴겹잎이다

꽃은 6~7월에 피는데 뿌리에서 나온 꽃줄기에 1~10개씩 달린다

꽃줄기에 잎이 없어서 잎이 달리는 피나물과 구변된다
