옥잠난초

산지의 습기가 많은 곳에서 자라며 큰꽃옥잠난초가 바위 위의 퇴적물에서 자라는데 비해

주로 땅에서 자란다. 꽃은 연두색이며 순판이 완전히 휘어져서 위에서 보면 끝이 보이지 않는다.

거(꿀주머니)가 없는 난초 종류(옥잠난초류와 나리난초류)는 곤충을 유인하기 위하여 벌레모양의

꽃을 피우는데 시력이 좋지 않은 곤충들의 수컷이 이 꽃을 암컷으로 착각하고 짝짖기를 하기 위하여

앉는 순간에 꽃가루를 묻혀서 수정을 한다.
