천마괭이눈[범의귀과 괭이눈속]

흔히 금괭이눈이라고 부르는 이 꽃의 정확한 이름은 천마괭이눈이다. 천마산에서 처음 발견되어 붙여진 이름이다

산지 계곡의 중상류 주변에 자라는 여러해살이풀로 4~6월에 황록색의 꽃이 피는데 꽃잎은 없고 꽃처럼 노랗게

물드는 포엽이 꽃잎으로 보인다.

흡사한 꽃으로 누른괭이눈이 있는데 천마괭이눈은 포엽 전체가 노랗게 물드는 반면 누른괭이눈은 포엽의 중간 정도만

누랗게 물든다. 또한 꽃이 피지 않는 무성지에 천마괭이눈에는 없는 흰줄이 누른괭이눈에는 있는 점이 다르다.

천마괭이눈은 꽃과 더불어 포엽 전체가 노랗게 물든다.
