잎의 길이는 17cm, 폭은 15cm 정도로 취나물속 식물 중 잎이 제일 크드
잎은 넓은 난형으로 끝이 뾰족하고 표면에 거미줄 같은 흰털이 있고 뒤면은 더 많은 털로 덮혀있다.
강원도 이북에 자라는 북방계식물로 한반도 고유종이다
