솜아마존[박주가리과 백미꽃속]

'아마존'이라는 이름 때문에 남미의 아마존 강에서 들어 온 외래종으로 생각할 수도 있지만

'아마존'은 순수한 우리 말이며 백미꽃의 옛 이름이 아마존이다

솜아마존은 솜털이 있는 백미꽃 이라는 뜻으로 보면 되겠다 

제주도, 전라남 북도, 경남 등의 습지에 자라며 전체가 회색이 도는 녹색으로 분을 칠한 것 같다.

줄기는 윗쪽에서 가지가 갈라지고 키는 50 ~ 100cm 이다.
