수양버들[버드나무과 버드나무속]

가지가 길게 늘지는 버드나무라서 드리울 수(垂)자를 써서 수양(垂楊)버드나무로 불린다
중국에서 들어 온 버드나무로 수나라 양제가 황화와 장강을 잇는 운하를 건설하고
제방에 버드나무를심어 수류(隨柳) 또는 양류(煬柳)라 했는데 우리나라에 들어 오면서
수양(垂楊)버들이 되었다
바슷한 나무로 능수버들이 있는데 자방에 털이 밀생하는 점으로 수양버들과 구분한다
