호랑버들[버드나무과 버드나무속]

버드나무 종류는 주로 습기가 많은 물가나 습지에 자라는데 호랑버들은 햇빛이 잘 드는 산자락에  자란다.

빨간 겨울 눈이 호랑이 눈 같다 하여 호랑버들이다.

암수가 다른 나무이며 길이 10cm 남짓한 타원형의 두툼한 잎은 버들 종류 중 가장 큰 편에 속한다.

10m 높이까지 자랄 수 있다.
