황기[콩과 황기속]

약용식물로 재배하지만 원래는 울릉도와 강원도, 북한 지방의 높은 곳의 풀밭이나, 숲 속에 자라는 여러해살이풀이다.

전체에 잔털이 밀생하고, 뿌리는 굵고, 깊이 들어간다.

꽃은 7~9월에 잎겨드랑이에서 나온 꽃대에 피며 연한 노란색이다.
