애기향유[꿀풀과 향유속]
왜 하필이면 거친 자갈밭에서 자랄까.
이 꽃을 볼 때마다 드는 생각이다. 다른 향유 보다 키가 작고 잎이 좁은 선형이라서 애기향유라 부르는 것
같은데 생명력은 어느 식물보다도 강한 것 같다.
키는 30cm 정도이며, 줄기는 네모지고 자색이며 강한 향기가 있다.
꽃은 10월에 한쪽으로 치우쳐 달리며 홍자색이다
